The Day Has Finally Come! It’s Closing Day! What Does That Mean Exactly?
Closing is the final step in executing a real estate transaction. It is the day that the property is actually transferred to you. A few days before closing you will be asked to go to the title company to review and sign many documents.
Never fear! Your Escrow Agent At The Title Company Will Go Over Everything To Be Sure You Understand What You Are Signing.
- Once everything is signed, all documents will be sent back to the bank from which you are obtaining your mortgage so they can review it for accuracy.
- Once everything is approved, the final funds will be sent to the title company. This process is called Funding.
- Once the loan has funded the title company prepares to record the property in your name with the county.
